Lucinda Myring – Senior Vet
I have been living just outside Melton all my life, working in a practice in North Leicestershire for four years as a mixed practice vet. I enjoy dog, cattle and horse work, and have a keen interest in canine medicine.
In my spare time, I enjoy riding my horse, clay shooting and walking my two dogs, Flynn and Twiglet.
Alastair Atkinson – Veterinary Surgeon
Alastair joined the practice in August 2015 as a locum. He graduated from The University of Cambridge in 2009 and worked with small and large animals across the UK and in New Zealand before coming to Melton.
He still enjoys the opportunity to take holidays around the world where he can usually be found walking up a hill with a big heavy rucksack.
Gaby Cassar – Veterinary Surgeon
Gaby graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in London in 2016 after completing a biology and chemistry degree in Malta where she is originally from.
She loves all animals big and small and is keen to start her career taking care of all of them. In her free time she likes walking and sampling the local ales.
Amber Marriot – Veterinary Surgeon
I graduated this summer from RVC in London and recently joined the Crescent Team.
I enjoy equine work and small animal surgery. I have a horse of my own that used to be at home in Kent but I am looking to bring him to Melton Mowbray.
Ionel Prelipcean – Veterinary Surgeon
Ionel Prelipcean MRCVS – I have graduated from Iasi Romania and I'm interested in large and small animal medicine.
Emma Garner – Head Veterinary Nurse
Emma is our Head Nurse who has been in the profession for 5 years now, and joined us in March 2016.
She is a Clinical Coach to our internal and external students, and has a keen interest in the teaching side of nursing. When not at work she enjoys spending time with her horses and two dogs: Josie and Harley.
Kay Champkins – Registered Vet Nurse
Kay is one of our veterinary nurses and has been working in the veterinary profession for over 10 years.
Her favourite animals are dogs although she is a keen horse rider and has two lovely cats called Prudence and Rosie.
Hollie Merrix – Student Vet Nurse
Hollie is our 2nd year nursing student and has worked here since 2014, she started as a kennel assistant before making the progression to start her nursing in 2015.
She has a bouncy spaniel called Freddie, a dinosaur wannabe frilled dragon called Frizzle and a Mardy 18 year old chinchilla called Dusty. Hollie has a strong interest in Reptiles and exotic animals and enjoys the hospital side to her job nursing the poorly inpatients and helping them feel better. She looks forward to qualifying in 2018!
Grace Ross – Student Vet Nurse
Grace is one of our trainee veterinary nurses and is new to the veterinary world.
She is mad about dogs and has two spaniels named Henry and Mabel and has recently developed a keen interest in horses.
Megan Emerton – Animal Nursing assistant
Megan is our animal nursing assistant and is new to the veterinary world. When she is not at work she likes to ride her horse Tristan and spend time with her cocker spaniels Bella and Buster.
Amy Johnson – Practice Administrator
Amy has been at the Crescent for over 4 years starting as a receptionist back in 2012. Over this time, Amy has completed levels 2 and 3 in Customer Service and Business Skills and is currently studying for her diploma.
Amy lives in Grantham with her partner, Leigh and her JRT, Max as well as her four cats, Taz, Theo, Gizmo and Milk.
Danielle Harris – Receptionist
Danielle is one of our receptionists who has been working here over a year and has a numerous of years in customer service, she always has a friendly smile and will be happy to help with anything. She enjoys meeting new people and thrives in all our creative sides at the practice.
In her spare time she enjoys spending time with friends, family, cats and shopping to add to her great sense of style.
Lucy Bell – Receptionist
Lucy Bell is one of our receptionists who started June 2015. Lucy has always had a natural talent in dancing including Salsa, ballet, street dance and tap.
Lucy was very successful in dancing and even had the opportunity to perform around the world and on a cruise ship.
She enjoys relaxing, shopping, laughing but most of all spending time with family and friends.
